ACE (Afterschool Centers on Education) Tigers play a key role in the success of RJH. Oftentimes after school programs are created primarily for clubs. At this time ACE Tigers has dedicated daily academic tutorials followed by student interest groups.
The enrichment program includes cooking, arts and crafts, music lessons, games and a book club that will start in January. Most recently the program made custom T-shirts for the staff with bleach water to mimic snow.
The fun and information doesn’t end with the students. RJH ACE Tigers also provides parent information workshops and events. In the past, they hosted events covering bullying and, upcoming, the plan to showcase the book fair with a family game night.
All this has been made possible by the ACE Tiger coordinator, Kristy Kaufmann. However, she is currently looking for some workers for spring enrichment activities—possibly some carpentry, welding, mechanics, hair design and sewing/knitting.
Please contact Ms. Kaufmann at kkaufmann@ rockdaleisd.net if you have any questions or are interested in working the spring semester.
