The Rockdale High School Spring Athletic Banquet concluded with Reyna Gonzales named Outstanding Female Athlete and Will Storey and Zac Davis named as Co-Oustanding Male Athletes.

Other athletes honored were Doss Hasselbach and Macy Knesek, who both-won the sportsman award.

The Dan Yezak Award given to the most conscientious athletes at RHS was grabbed Brady Nelson, Emily Depine and Haven Jimenez.

The Jay Bob Roe Award which is awarded to the most courageous athletes was given to Quentin Hughes and Payton Miller.

Coach of the Year went to Gilberto Rodriguez, who coached the girls team and led the boys soccer team to the playoffs in their first year as a UIL-sanctioned program.

Cheryl Meuth was the Rockdale Junior High School Coach of the Year. Meuth led the junior high boys cross country team to a second place finish in district and increased the participation numbers in the sport.

Most valuable players for each sport were Davis (for basketball and baseball), Anna Harmon (basketball), Nathan Jeter (powerlifting), Autumn Montelongo (powerlifting), Mackenzie Musto (power-lifting and track), Kaylee Criswell (soccer), Brandon Hernandez and Joan Pacheco (soccer), Karley Leopold (softball), Gonzalez (tennis), Devon Whitsel (tennis), Will Storey (track), Arianna Eastridge (cheer-leading), Ross Loth (golf), Brady Nelson (golf), Whitley Boyd (golf) and Eve King (golf).

Other awards winners were Qua’Shawn Crawford, Ty Mayberry, Hannah Delz, Kelan Evans and Ryker Zinn.
