Last Wednesday, Thorndale softball players Emilee Baker and Kelsey Kovar were invited to play in the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s All-Star game at Arlington’s Workman Softball Complex on Tuesday, July 13.
The THS juniors were two of six Class 2A players in Texas asked to participate in the event.
Kovar, a Paris Junior College commit, finished the 2021 season with a batting average of .698, eight home runs and 70 runs batted in over the course of 32 games.
Baker, a leadoff hitter committed to Texas State, ended her 2021 campaign with a .578 batting average and scored 63 of Thorndale’s 397 runs this season. She also stole 29 bases and hit five home runs.
