Last week, Rockdale High School seniors Yolianna Castillo and Julie Bartsch were named to the 2022 All-Brazos Valley volleyball team.
Castillo, a four-year starter for the Lady Tigers, was selected to the second team and the academic team as well. The senior setter had 829 assists and 403 digs this season. Throughout her time in Rockdale, Castillo had 3,053 assists and 1,187 digs.
Bartsch was picked for the All-Academic team after having racking up 493 volleyball player for all four years and ended her time at RHS with 1,500 kills and 253 blocks. The two helped lead the Lady Tigers to the post-season year. The All-Brazos Valley volleyball teams are put together by The Bryan- College Station Eagle.
