Earl ier thi s month, Emma Becker and West Texas A&M University volleyball team defeated Concordia- St. Paul 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 28-26) to win the NCAA Division II national championship.
Becker, a freshman, had six kills and two digs during the team’s victory over the Lady Bears and ends the season with 224 kills, 14 aces and 70 digs.
She is the daughter of Chris and Rose Becker of Liberty Hill and the granddaughter of Shirley Becker of Thorndale and Joe and Elizabeth Staha of Hutto.
