This Saturday afternoon, RHS softball will open up their season for their Blueand- Gold game, an intersquad scrimmage with a mix of both varsity and junior varsity players on each team.
First pitch at the Lady Tiger softball field is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The girls play their first game on Friday, Feb. 3, when they travel to Franklin. Junior varsity will play at 5 p.m., with the varsity starting right after at 7.
RHS is under the direction of new coach Brock Miller.
BASEBALL— With practices beginning this past Monday, the Tigers make their season debut two weeks later on Monday, Feb. 6, in a scrimmage with neighbor Thorndale.
First-year head coach Austin Caffey and his team get the opportunity to cut their teeth against the school where he worked as an assistant coach for four seasons under longtime Bulldog coach Kelly Kuhl.
The scrimmage takes place at THS and first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
