Rockdale Tiger soccer team snapped their six-game losing streak on Monday evening when they took down visiting Smithville 4-3 thanks to a pair of goals from both Daniel Castillo and Marvin Mata.
RHS also battled Caldwell in the cold early Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to the Hornets.
With a record of 1-6, head coach Gilberto Rodriguez has a relatively young team that he said has struggled on some nights, but has also rose to the occasion against some tough teams.
THIS WEEK—T h e Tigers play next on Thursday evening in Hearne, a team they lost to 3-0 on Jan. 25, at home.
Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
LADY TIGERS— Rockdale’s girls soccer team faced Cameron on Tuesday after press time and was scheduled to play Hearne on Friday, but the game was canceled.
The Blue-and-Gold will play next on Monday at home against Smithville.
Play starts at 6 p.m.
