Over 120 people came out to support the Milam County Brown Santa Golf Tournament on July 28 at the Cameron Country Club.
The tournament, founded by the late David Greene of the Milam County Sheriff’s Office in 2010, exceeded the previous years total for the eighth year in row. Totals raised were not available at press time, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.
The organization collects funds for toys and books for children in Milam County.
Mike Fulton, Jayce Rasberry, Justin Tucker, Keith Kuzel, and Kaden Kuzel won first place.
The second place team was James Hudson, Robert Hudson, John Youngblood, Craig Bethell, David Kelly, and Mark Stroud. The third place team consisted of Nikolas Keratsopoulos, Nathan Fuchs, Pete Marge, Melanie Marge, and John Marek.
The longest drive was awarded to Davis Little and the Closest to Pin shot went to Jayce Rasberry, and the Most Accurate was given to Biff Harris.
