On Christmas day, Rockdale senior Anthony Dansby revealed that he would continue his football career at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, a Division III program with 15 conference championships since 2002 and two national titles.
Less than two weeks later on Jan. 6, the Tigers’ top-receiver rescinded his commitment to UMHB.
Twelve days later on Jan. 18, Dansby announced via Twitter that he would be playing for Blinn College next season.
“UMHB is a great school and they have a great football team, but money was an issue and I don’t want to be in debt.”
According to each school’s websites, UMHB’s projected Fall 2021 tuition is $19,365 and Blinn’s is $3,100 per student without scholarships and pell grants factored in.-
