HEARNE—The Thorndale Bulldogs baseball team fought hard last week, but fell to the Burton Panthers in two games, 7-2 and 5-4.

Game two on Friday night went to 16 innings before a winner could be determined.

Nathan Grimm came up big when it mattered most by smashing a single in the bottom of the sixth inning. The two-out hit drove in two on his three-RBI night.

The Bulldogs enjoyed an impressive year, repeating as District 27-AA champions and advancing to the area round of the playoffs.
