THOR NDA LE—The Thorndale Bulldogs hosted a scrimmage last week against the Chilton Pirates and came up short with a final score of 3-1.
Head Coach John Kovar acknowledged, “We struggled, we have some key injuries and we have fundamental areas where we need to improve. Next week we are playing a tough Lexington Eagle team.”
“Some of our kids really stepped up and we were happy to see that,” he added.
Bulldogs like junior wide receiver and defensive back Brenson Beran, junior quarterback and defensive back Gunner Ferguson, junior running back and defensive back Aiden McRae, all had good performances along with continued excellent play from junior running back and linebacker Noah Crabtree.
THIS WEEK— Friday the Bulldogs travel to Lexington for the season opener. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at Eagle Stadium.
The Eagles are a strong Class 3A Division II team.
