THORNDALE BULLDOGS 61, AUSTIN ACHIEVE 0

AUSTIN—The Thorndale Bulldogs keep rolling. They thumped the winless Austin Achieve on the road last week 61-0.

Thorndale came out like a team on a mission in the first quarter scoring 35. The Bulldogs gave quarterback Gunner Ferguson’s arm a break and scored everything on the ground.

The first touchdown in the game was scored by Ferguson when he ran 20 yards into the end zone. Kicker Case McDaniel, who was 6 for 8 on extra points for the night, made this one and the Bulldogs were up 7-0.

Noah Crabtree pushed the ball across the line on a three-yard dash. McDaniel was good on the kick and Thorndale was up 14-0.

Still in the first quarter, Ethan Schramm returned a punt for 40 yards for a touchdown. Kicker McDaniel cashed in on the extra point and the Bulldogs were going strong at 21-0.

Quarterback Ferguson was energized as he ran 48 yards with the pigskin to score. McDaniel was good—Thorndale 28, Austin Achieve 0.

The Bulldogs were not done yet. Crabtree ran 18 yards for another score. After the last extra point kick of the first quarter by McDaniel, the score was 35-0.

The Bulldogs let off the gas in the second quarter only scoring twice.

Hayden Thigpen punched the ball in on a two-yard run and Sebastian Castillo went 11 yards to score. McDaniel missed bot h ex tra points and Thorndale was ahead 47-0.

The third quarter included a continual shut out by the Bulldogs defense.

Case McDaniel scored after going two yards into the end zone and Cole Harkins ran 35 yards to hit paydirt. Jaxson Eschberger came in to hit one of the two extra point kicks after these two touchdowns. McDaniel made the other and the final score after a scoreless fourth quarter was 61-0. Bulldogs win!

THIS WEEK— Thorndale will host Hempstead Friday with the kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

The Bobcats are 0-4 after losing to Wharton last week, the final score of that game was 55-10.

Rockdale beat Hempstead a couple of weeks ago 28-7.

The Bulldogs are currently 3-1.
