HARPER—Thorndale traveled to Harper last Friday and they put the Longhorns down 40-25.
The Bulldogs came out in a scoring frenzy putting 20 points on the board in the first quarter. Quarterback Gunner Ferguson found Kade Becker for a 19-yard touchdown strike. Becker then kicked the extra point. The Bulldogs were up 7-0.
It wasn’t long before the Bulldog defense found the end zone on a Jayden Clawson 52-yard interception return. Becker’s extra point kick failed, but the Bulldog’s were up 13-0.
Thorndale would find the end zone again by calling on Clawson to push past the goal line on a three-yard dash. Becker was good on his point after.
Thorndale would lead 20-0 before Harper scored a touchdown that produced a failed two-point conversion. The score after the first quarter was 20-6.
Thorndale let off the gas in the second quarter only scoring once on a Case McDaniel run from the one yard line. The extra point was good and the Bulldogs were still pushing towards the victory 27-6.
The visiting Bulldogs let Harper score before the half and going into the locker room the score was 27-13.
The Bulldogs were consistent. They allowed the Longhorns back into the end zone in the third quarter and they scored as well from the 12-yard line by using running back Noah Crabtree. Becker’s kick was good and the Bulldogs were
