CHEER CAMP—Rockdale varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders, and Rocky the Tiger, Braylin Blevins, spent a week at Sam Houston State University at Cheer Camp June 12-15. Varsity came home with the Herkie Award, Top Captain Award for Madalynne Brinkman (right) and multiple Superior ribbons and spirit sticks. Junior varsity received the most improved team trophy and also won superior ribbons and spirit sticks. The varsity girls are under the direction of Debra Neal and the JV coach is Kelcie Rutherford who both received their coaching credentials at camp. Varsity cheerleaders are listed on the front page. Junior Varsity cheerleaders are Lilly Matula, Kiara Gomez, Karla Perez, Alexis Stewart, Savanna Rubio and Mariana Vargas.
