Last week, it was reported by msn. com that Rockdale native Le’Raven Clark would be leaving the Indianapolis Colts after four seasons to join the Philadelphia Eagles.

The RHS Class of 2011 grad signed a one-year deal with the Eagles, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Heading to Philadelphia gives the former Tiger a chance to reunite with Nick Sirianni, who was the offensive coordinator for the Colts from 2018-2020. Sirianni was named Philadelphia’s head coach on Jan. 24, after the Eagles decided to move on from Super Bowl champion coach Doug Pederson.

According to NBC Sports Philadelphia, Clark will likely battle for a back-up spot and provide the squad with more depth on the offensive line at tackle or guard.

He comes to the City of Brotherly Love after tearing his achilles during a game on Dec. 3, that ended his 2020 season. At the time, he was on a oneyear contract with the Colts and had made three starts at left tackle in that season. In his time with Indianapolis, he played in 47 games and made 15 starts.

ROCKDALE—At Rockdale High School, Clark was a four-year starter for the Tigers whom scout.com once ranked as a four-star recruit. He was highly sought after by multiple Power Five programs including Baylor, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Nebraska before choosing to go with Texas Tech University in February of 2011.

While in Lubbock, he started in all 51 games that he played in and was a part of an offensive line that allowed only 27 sacks his senior season.

Clark also earned accolades such as being selected to the Associated Press All-Big 12 Conference first team in 2014 as a left tackle.

His collegiate success led to him being drafted by the Colts in the third round.

He is the son of Melvin Clark and Angelena Alcorn of Rockdale.
