Like many football games in Texas this week, Rock-dale’s seventh and eighth grade “A” teams were forced to cancel their games due to bad weather. But Rockdale’s combined “B” teams were able to play their scheduled game against Bellville’s “B” team in Milano, losing 14-6 to the Brahmas.
Bellville was up 8-0 when Rockdale’s Kevin Liu recovered a fumble that he returned for a 45-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The two-point conversion failed.
The Brahmas scored later in the game, defeating the Tigers 14-6.
Coach Eric Willard said the offense was lead by quarterback Jonathan Sperry, center Colton Ellis, and guard Gabriel Goodman.
Defensive standouts were linebackers Jordan Williams, and Davin Shriver and defensive tackle Lane Rickman.
Rockdale Junior High plays their next football games in Robinson on Thursday with play starting at 4:30 p.m.
