THIS WEEK–Thorndale opens district play against Rosebud-Lott on Friday.

The Cougars are 0-4 and coming off a 63-0 loss to Jarrell this past Friday.

They’re younger with nine returning starters and sophomore quarterback John Paul Reyna.

“Rosebud always has talent on the field and plays hard,” said Scott Hawkins THS football coach and athletic director. “We can’t judge them by their record right now.

“We must play Thorndale Football for four quarters.”

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

INJURIES—The Bulldogs have always dealt with injuries in non-district including running back Jagger Rubio who has been playing less after getting banged up in the Bremond game on Friday, Sept. 6.

“Jagger is feeling better,” Hawkins said. “Still not a hundred percent but able to play a good role for us and some defense.”
