Coming home from Rockdale Junior High’s track meet Thursday evening, Rockdale ISD athletes Yovanney and Izabella Delgadillo were involved in a three-motor-vehicle accident near FM 1712 and US 77, confirmed by Ernie Glenn, chief of the Minerva Volunteer Fire Department.
Yovanney is a sophomore at Rockdale High School and part of the Tiger cross country team that qualified for regionals this past fall. Izabella is an eighth-grader at RJH that had competed at the meet where she earned a bronze medal as a part of the 4x400-meter relay team.
According to family member Angie Campos, Izabella was released from the hospital on Monday and Yovanney was released Tuesday.
