This weekend, the Lady Tigers head to Jarrell for their first tournament of the season. On Thursday, RHS kicks off their time in Williamson County with three games.
They will play back-to back games against Austin’s Eastside Memorial at 9 a.m., before facing Travis, another Austin school, right after at 10:30 a.m. After a lunch break, the Lady Tigers return to the pit to face Northwest, a Class 5A school from the Fort Worth area.
The remainder of their games will be determined by their performance on that first day.
The Girls in Blue play in one more tournament the following weekend with a trip to Taylor. They begin district play on March 9, against rival Cameron at the Lady Tiger Softball Field.
TIGERS—Later this week, the Tiger baseball team plays in the first tourney of the season when they travel to West on Thursday. Their first games are scheduled for 3 p.m. against Jarrell and 5 p.m. facing tournament host West.
On Friday, they face Class 3A Mildred at 9 a.m., and play Taylor at 1 p.m.
On Saturday, they close out tourney play with a glimpse into district play against rival Cameron at
Rockdale returns to Tiger Field on Tuesday in a game with Bremond. Junior varsity starts at 4:30 p.m. and varsity begins after.
EAGLES—Milano makes their season debut on Friday at Bryan St. Joseph.
LADY EAGLES—Milano’s softball team started their season on Tuesday in Rockdale after their original season opener in Mumford on Feb. 12 was canceled due to the winter weather that hit Texas this past week.
The Lady Eagles start district play on Friday in Holland.
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
BULLDOGS—The Bulldogs head to northwest Austin this weekend to play in the Brentwood Christian tournament. THS is scheduled to face St. Andrews at 8:30 a.m. Their next game is dependent on how they do against the West Austin private school that morning.
LADY BULLDOGS— The 2019 state finalists make their season debut on Thursday at the La Grange Tournament.
Although the tourney is primarily hosted by the Fayette County school, the Lady Dogs will play in Columbus on Thursday with games at 10 a.m. and noon against home team Columbus and Class 5A Victoria East.
On Friday, they play at LGHS at 2 and 4 p.m., against Needville and La Grange. Saturday, they play at noon and 2 p.m. against Yoakum and East Bernard.
The Lady Dogs start district play this upcoming Tuesday in Rosebud-Lott. Game time is planned
