BARTLETT— MHS seniors Ethan Gordon and Josh Millar both rushed for more than 200 yards in a 48-0 victory during their district debut in Bartlett this past Friday.
Gordon, who had a season- high of 239 yards, was the first to rack up points for the Eagles with a 54-yard touchdow n r un. Mi lano increased their lead to 14-0 when Millar scored his 13th TD of the season on a 70-yard run later in first.
In the second, it was all Gordon, who scored twice more in the second to put Milano up 27-0 at halftime.
The Eagle lead was never endangered in the second half, with Gordon, Millar and Andres Ruelas each scoring.
MHS got their fifth consecutive win and remain undefeated on the season.
THIS WEEK— The Eagles return to Pruitt Field this week to host Iola, a team that’s had a rough ride through their first six games.
Besides falling to Granger 38-0 in their district opener last week, the Bulldogs have only picked up one win since their season started in late August. That win was on Fri-day, Sept. 2, in a 43-22 victory over Normangee.
Kick-off between the two schools is at 7 p.m.
