The Rockdale Junior High 7th Grade A Team fell to the Caldwell Hornets 26-28 on Thursday.
Brody Willard connected with De’andre Nunn on touchdown passes of 35 and 60 yards in the first quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the connection of Willard and Nunn would strike again on a 30-yard touchdown pass.
Offensive standouts included Nunn and Camden Huff. Defensive standouts included Landon Deason and Stephen Goodrich.
8TH GRADE—T h e Rockdale 8th Grade A Team defeated the Caldwell Hornets 32-23.
The Tigers got on the board first with Tim Grice scoring on a 50-yard run. Grice would get his second touchdown of the day in the second quarter snagging a 65-yard pass from Ezequiel Castro.
Grice continued to dominate the game in the third quarter on with a 45-yard touchdown run.
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Grice would score his fourth and final touchdown of the day on an 18-yard run.
D’Anthony Richards-Embree would put the game away for the Tigers after recovering a fumble and returning it for a 45-yard touchdown.
Offensive standouts included Grice and Castro. Defensive Standouts included Anthony Richards-Embree and D’Anthony Richards-Embree.
Both teams will compete against the Taylor Ducks on Thursday at home.
