Belton GOOD. Water lightly stained; 54 degrees; 13.97 feet below pool.

The warming trend has nudged water temperatures higher and the impact on the white bass fishery has been positive. Fish are beginning to move and feed other than on bottom, hence, some bird action has returned, and more active tactics have begun to produce.

Massive schools of white bass may be found, especially with side-imaging, slowly wandering up the edges of the Leon River channel. When found, these fish are typically suspended over deep water and respond well to a deadstick tactic. Be prepared with rigged with slabs for fish found on bottom, deadstick gear for suspended fish, and MAL Heavy Lures for aggressive fish under birds.
