FAIR. Water clear; 73 degrees; 0.56 feet low. Fish are in the summer pattern on Lake Austin. Bass are fair on big swimbaits around deep docks and creek canals. Bastrop

The threadfin shad spawn is tapering to a close and thanks to the recent stretch of unseasonably warm temperatures the strong late-spring white bass bite is now past peak. Topwater action in areas where the overnight winds have blown has been reliable for largemouth, smallmouth, and white bass during a short window from 6:45-8:00 a.m. using MAL Originals. After that early topwater action, we have relied exclusively on the MAL Dense used in conjunction with Garmin LiveScope to fish vertically for white bass and short hybrid, which are still heavily congregated on the bottom in 32-50 feet of water. Brownwood

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 76-81 degrees; 3.47 feet low. Bass are good to 5.50 pounds on crankbaits around the rocky shorelines feeding around the perch beds. Most are in a summer pattern. Crappie are good to one pound on minnows and on black/chartreuse or white color jigs from 8-12 feet in brush piles and around lighted docks. White bass are good to 1.50 pounds on small swimbaits or crankbaits and under the lights. Catfish are slow on cut bait and liver around the flats in 6-12 feet of water.

Buchanan

GREAT. Water lightly stained; 77 degrees; 4.86 feet low. Crappie fishing is good with fish clinging to the summer pattern. Bass are good on shallow rock and vegetation, and flipping shallow trees with worms and craw worms. The topwater bite is getting good as well. Canyon Lake

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 74 degrees; 2.08 feet low. Bass are very good at the mouth of the river around hydrilla and on points using Carolina rigs, flukes, baby brush hawgs. There is an early top water bite near grass and rocks while the shad continues to spawn. Striped and white bass are slow schooling on overcast days and at night in the marina green lights at night using live minnows and small shad colored swim-baits. Granger

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 0.20 feet high. Black bass are fair on spinner-baits fished in shallow water around timber. Crappie are very good on crappie jigs tipped with Berkley Power Bait Nibbles fished in structure from 4-12 feet of water. White bass are slow on slab spoons fished along shallow road beds. LBJ

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 78 degrees; 0.66 feet low. Bass are very good on brush piles and rocky points in 8-15 feet of water using ten inch worms and crank-baits. Good topwater bite all day on overcast days while the bass are feeding on shallow perch. White bass are good mid lake to the river in jigging spoons and live minnows. Somerville

FAIR. Stained; 82-84 degrees; 0.14 feet below. Crappie, bluegill, and catfish are good in the Somerville Marina early morning and late evening. Black bass are good, on rocky points and brush. Hitting jigs with plastics on 10-15 feet drop-offs. Crappie are good on main lake brush piles biting minnows and various jig colors in 8-18 feet of water. Catfish are good early morning on shad, liver, and punch bait. White bass and hybrids are good using pet spoons for trolling or shad and pencil minnows in 8-10 feet of water. Travis
