While Thorndale and Rockdale were playing in their first round playoff games, area native Kortlin White, now a running backs coach for Class 6A Lewisville, was at his new school’s home stadium taking on McKinney’s Boyd High School in a bi-district matchup.
The Farmers came back to beat Boyd 27-17 with two second half touchdowns to move on to face Arlington’s Martin High School this Friday in Irving.
White is the son of the late Gary and Misty White and the nephew of RHS alumni Angela, Theresa and Wanda White.
The former Tiger is a 2008 graduate of Rockdale High School and also teaches career and technical education at LHS.
