Rockdale High School freshman Jonathan Fuller will compete in the 3200m run on Thursday at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.
Rockdale’s Head Track Coach Rene Muniz is impressed with Fuller and said, “Jonathan qualified for state while playing baseball, tennis and maintaining strength and conditioning during our regular athletic period.”
“I’m s o p leased w ith o ur 2 025 track season,” Muniz added. “It was a year of great effort, growth and success. Lots of personal records set.”
Muniz credits the work of all of the Tiger coaches and specifically points out the work that new distance Coach Chase Rathke put in with Fuller as being significant.
Rathke is a long distance national champion out of Tarleton State, winning the 1500m in the 2014 NCAA Outdoor National Championships.
