I’ve started getting ready for Christmas. I bought us a new artificial Christmas tree. And I’m hoping some of the kids come around and offer to put it up and put the decorations on it. A little early yet, but have to start making plans.
Maybe I should be making plans for Thanksgiving. We use the “good dishes” for holidays, so early next month I’ll take those down and put on the dining room table (which will have to have much junk moved off it). This retirement age is such a busy time in life!
Milam County Health Department is giving flu shots at Gause Community Center from 10-11 a.m. Monday. Don’t be late.
The sign at the Methodist Church in Gause says “Get close to Jesus. He doesn’t have COVID.”
The Rockdale Fair livestock show was held in Rockdale last week. Several youth from Gause made the sale, including:
• Mattie Reed with the steer and commercial heifer.
• Garrett Reed with his steer and heifer and reserve champion with his commercial heifer record book.
• Gracie Rasco made the sale with her pig.
• Kate Silvey was awarded the Herdsman Award with her rabbits.
A huge “thank you” to all the buyers from Milam County who make the show possible. They include Mike Morris, J.W. Mechanical Systems, Done Right Roofing, Beaver Creek Ranch, ARC of Pride Welding, Milano and Gause Ag Boosters, Cameron Buyers Group, the Turnage family, Mine Services and 7D Ranch.
