Despite the bad weather throughout Texas last week, Lady Dog softball was able to get two games in at the La Grange Tournament on Friday, beating Class 5A schools Cedar Creek, 18-0, and Victoria’s East High School, 16-0.

Against Cedar Creek, it was freshman Karis Ginn striking out four, while allowing only two hits in four innings.

In their matchup with East, Ginn’s older sister Dori only allowed three hits in their double-digit victory. The THS junior threw 17 pitches in three innings, 13 of which were strikes.

Other top performers in Fayette County were Kassidy Eubanks, who had five RBI’s against CCHS. Emilee Baker, Raeghan Carlson and Kelsey Kovar also shined, hitting a combined four home runs in their 18-0 victory over East. Kovar hit two while Baker and Carlson each went yard once.
