While many of his classmates were putting their pads on for their first high school football practice, incoming RHS freshman Timothy Grice was in pursuit of a national championship at the AAU Track and Field Championships in Houston last week.

On Monday, the Tiger secured a spot in the 200-meter hurdle finals after winning the semi-final race with a time of 25.56. When Tuesday came, he took gold in the same event winning the race with his personal best of 24.86.

Grice also placed fourth overall in the 100-meter hurdles Thursday with a time of 14.13 after finishing sixth in the semi-finals the day before out of 53 athletes.

On Thursday, he placed 13th in the 100-meter dash semi-finals with a time of 11.40.
