The Milano Eagles and Lady Eagles runners made a good showing in Lexington at the high school and junior high levels on Saturday, Sept. 8.
In the varsity boy’s race, runner Andy Gutierrez placed ninth with a time of 21:26, and Cinch Pilkey placed 32 with a time of 26:23.2. The course was intended to be in the ballpark of about three miles in duration.
The Lady Eagles that placed in the varsity girl’s race were Abby Miller, who finished twenty-third with a time of 17:55.2; 39. Danni Shaw 20:08.9 and 48. Angela Zeig 26:54.9. The girl’s course was about two miles in distance.
At the junior high level, Wyatt Koenig placed 21. 16:26.3, and Kadance Koenig won the girl’s race with a time of 15:48.3.
The Eagles and Lady Eagles run in their next meet on Saturday, Sept. 15, in Jarrell. Milano has three more races until their district meet on Wednesday, Oct. 10, in Gause.
