Jones to run track at Prairie View

Milano senior and state champion Devonte Jones signed a letter of intent on Thursday to run track at Prairie View A&M University in Hempstead. “It was always my dream to play sports at the next level,” Jones said. “When I was younger, I wanted to play footbal but once I got into track, I knew it was my sport.” Jones, who won four medals at the state track meet last week, will join former MHS teammate and cousin Tim Demeritt in Hempstead. “My cousin Tim was also a big factor in my signing there,” Jones said. “This is really big for me.”
