The Rockdale JV Blue traveled to Bellville this past Thursday to face the JV Brahmas. The young Tigers came up short ,34-0. They are now 0-2-2 on the season.
Bellville’s offense created a big lead early in the game with a three-yard run and 12-yard pass that went for touchdowns. The Brahmas converted a two-point conversion on both touchdowns making the score 16-0 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the defense showed life with safety Tristian Galvan snagging an interception. However, the Brahmas would score an 11-yard touchdown to increase their lead. Bellville converted the two-point conversion making the score 24-0 at the half.
In the second half, Bellville would score two more touchdowns on the ground to seal the game. The Brahmas converted on both two-point conversions to push their lead to 34 points.
Offensive standouts for Rockdale included Aiden Hirt, Carson Eoff and Riley Spears. Defensive standouts included Isaiah Saults, Luke Dafler and Spears.
The Tigers look to bounce back as the will face the McGregor JV team Thursday at home.
