The Rockdale Tiger junior varsity football team lost on the road against Troy last week. They are now 1-5 for the year and 0-2 in district.
The Troy Trojans kept the Tigers scoreless in all four quarters. The final score was Troy 21, Rockdale 0.
According to Tiger coaches, we were kept out of the end zone due to a “stingy Troy defense and a few bad breaks.”
On the defensive side of the ball Thursday night, Tiger freshman Jaylyn Vrana forced a fumble that was recovered by freshman Cole Faust inside the Tigers 10-yard line.
There was positive play on the offensive by steady Tiger quarterback Greyson Williams and running backs Jeremiah Butler and Amaury O’bryant.
THIS WEEK— These Tigers will play in front of a home crowd on Thursday against the Lorena Leopards at 7 p.m.
