Rockdale High School graduate Frances King finished up her second collegiate season being named to the Lone Star Conference’s Second Team after averaging 11.2 points, 4 assists and 3.6 rebounds in the 18 games that she started during the 2020-21 season for Midwestern State University.
King was a four-year starter for the Lady Tigers and played a part in helping them reach the state tournament in her freshman year. During her Rockdale career, she averaged a total of 13.7 points per game and 21.3 points her junior season. Her career with the Blue-and-Gold was cut short in January of 2018 when she broke a small bone on the side of her left foot.
A member of the RHS Class 0f 2018, she is the daughter of James and Pam King of Rockdale and currently majors in kinesiology.
