Milano native to join nation’s best quarterbacks at elite passing camp
Body

While many people head to Louisiana during the summer to spend time at casinos or explore the French Quarter in New Orleans, Milano’s Kyle King will be in Thibodaux at the Manning Passing Academy, where he will work with some of the nation’s most talented high school quarterbacks and learn from some of the best in the game.

The camp is a four-day clinic hosted by Super Bowl champions Eli and Peyton Manning, along with brother Cooper and father Archie Manning, who was a pro-bowler for the New Orleans Saints during the 1970’s.

Since their first camp held in 1996, prominent participants in the past have included current National Football League quarterbacks Trevor Lawrence, Russell Wilson, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford.

King, who attended the camp as a high schooler, will this time be a counselor along with top collegiate players such as Spencer Rattler, who was at Oklahoma this past season.

The MHS alum is coming off a season in which he helped lead the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor to a national championship and passed for a total of 2,682 yards while scoring 46 total touchdowns.

He is the son of Alvie and Wendy King of Milano and is a 2018 graduate of Milano High School.
