BRYAN—Lillian A. Kruse, 96, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility.

Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial were held Monday, Sept. 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Kruse was born July 25, 1924, in Cameron to William Joseph and Bertha (Struhall) Michalka.

She married William Kruse in 1946 and they moved to Nebraska. They and their young family moved to Bryan in December 1955.

Mrs. Kruse was a devout and longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was the librarian for St. Joseph School for many years.

She enjoyed playing dominoes at the Senior Center, reading, crocheting and baking for her family.

The majority of her life was spent raising her children and being a homemaker.

Mrs. Kruse was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Kruse; and two daughters, Susan Blevins and Margaret Finke; also, two brothers and a sister.

Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Peter Kruse, Paul and Judi Kruse, Robert and Sylvia Kruse; her daughters and son-in-law, Mary Krause and Janice and Ravi Devulapalli; and a sister, Frances Hopper; also, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph School library.
