The Thorndale Lady Dogs softball team is the undefeated district champions after beating Bremond last week, 16-1.
Thorndale went 12-0 in district and were 14-4 overall.
COMING UP— The Lady Dogs were scheduled to play a warm up game in Thrall on Monday (after The Reporter deadline). Then playoffs will start on Friday against Harper at Marion High School in Marion. The first game will be at 5 p.m. and the second game will be at 7. If necessary, game three will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday at the same location.
The Thorndale Bulldogs had a big win against Bremond last week, beating the Tigers 22-0.
The Bulldogs are just one win from clinching their fourth consecutive district championship.
THIS WEEK— Thorndale was scheduled to play a double header against Chilton on Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline), before hitting the road to play Mumford at 7 p.m. Thursday and Holland at 7 p.m. Friday.
