Last Wednesday, Thorn-dale softball players Riley White, Kate Casey and Lady Bulldog volleyball player Landri Leschber all signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers following graduation.
White signed with Abilene Christian University, a school she had been verbally committed since 2017.
She helped lead Thorn-dale to the UIL Class 2A state championship game this past May and was a first team all-state selection.
White’s teammate Casey also scribbled her signature but to become a part of Texas A&M University at Kingsville.
She was a District 27-2A second team selection during her first year attending Thorndale High School.
The lone spiker Leschber committed to Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
She was a District 25-2A first team selection in 2018 on a Lady Bulldog squad that qualified for the state tournament and finished a 2019 season on a team that made it to the Region IV quarterfinals.
