Both Thorndale basketball teams head out of town for the weekend for tournament play.
The Bulldogs go north to play in the Salado Tournament.
THS finished fourth last season at the tourney, beating Corpus Christi-Flour Bluff, Cameron and Pflugerville-Weiss.
Thorndale has two more tournaments after Salado before playing in their district opener in Thrall on Jan. 3, 2020.
LADY BULLDOGS–
On Wednesday evening, the Lady Bulldogs make the 210-mile trip to Tilden, a town directly south of San Antonio, to play in their second tournament of the season.
Last year, Thorndale finished third at the Tilden tourney, beating Freer, Three Rivers and Charlotte.
Next week, the Lady Bulldogs stay at home with a game against Buffalo on Tuesday, Dec. 10, and Weimar three days later.
THS opens district play a week later on Tuesday, Dec. 17, when they play in their third straight home game with Hearne.
