Thorndale will play Milano Tuesday in an effort to retain their second place position in District 25-2A play.
The Lady Bulldogs are 10-2 in district behind the undefeated Thrall Tigerettes.
They played at home against the Lady Eagles Tuesday. Milano is one game behind Thorndale in the standings. Read about the match in the next issue of The Rockdale Reporter.
On Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs got their tenth win in district with a three set victory over the Buckholts Lady Badgers 25-11, 25-5, 25-4.
Thorndale was led by Landri Leschber, who had 13 kills and 16 assists. Other Lady Bulldogs who were strong at the net were Maddie Smith and Elise Biar, who had nine and eight kills, respectively. Landry Laywell helped Thorndale with 16 assists.
The Lady Bulldogs swept another team earlier in the week. On Tuesday, they beat the Holland Lady Hornets 25-6, 25-15, 25-18 in Thorndale. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Leschber and Smith at the net, with 11 and 12 kills, respectively. Leschber also had 9 assists, and Laywell had 12.
The Lady Bulldogs play their final district game at home against the Mumford Lady Mustangs Friday.
