Lady Dogs advance to regional semifinals

The Thorndale Lady Dogs advance to the regional semifinals after defeating rival Thrall in two games last week in Hutto. Thorndale beat the Lady Tigers on Wednesday 5-4 and again on Thursday 5-1.

COMING UP— Thorndale now faces Weimar in a best-of-three series in the regional semifinals.

Game one will be played in Brenham at Brenham High School at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Game two will be played in Navasota at Navasota High School at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Game three, if needed, will be played in Navasota at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The Weimar Wildcats finished in third place in their district with a 9-3 record and they were 20-11-1 overall.
