Last week, Thorndale seniors Emilee Baker and Kelsey Kovar, were featured in Rivals.com’s list of top softball players in the state of Texas.
Baker, a Texas State commit that finished the 2021 season with 29 stolen bases and scored 63 of Thorndale’s 397 runs, was named one of the top outfielders and Kovar, a Paris Junior College commit that concluded last season with a .698 batting average and 70 runs batted in, was named one of the top first basemen in the state.
Both girls are three-year starters for the Thorndale High School softball team and were both on the 2019 state finalist team as freshman.
