Lady Eagles come up short against Holland, 35-31

Milano finished off the calendar year playing in the Somerville Tourney.

As of press time, the only score made available was the Eagles’ 48-36 loss to host Somerville.

LAST WEEK–The Eagles fell to Bartlett 56-19 last Monday.

THIS WEEK–Milano won’t play in a tournament but travel to Flatonia on Monday to take on the Bulldogs for the third time this season.

Eagle fans that make the trip to Fayette County will see a familiar face.

Milano native Aubrie King is an assistant coach for the Bulldogs.

He is the son of former Milano basketball coach Alvie King and Wendy King, Milano’s athletic director and volleyball coach who holds more than 600 wins.

The younger King won a state championship with Mumford in 2014.

Tip-off is at noon for the JV with the varsity slated for 1:15 p.m.

LADY EAGLES–Milano went into the break coming up short 35-31 to Holland at the Geneva Paceley Gym on Friday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles play next in Somerville on Monday, Dec. 30.
