MHS freshman Toni Meyer struck out six in the Lady Eagles’ 10-0 win over Bartlett on Monday at Becky Dent Field.
Milano only had two hits from Meyer and her classmate Zoe Clore but were able to get on base and make things happen. Emma Davenport, Aaliyah McBrewer r and Natalie Compton also contributed at the plate accounting for three runs batted in, including a sacrifice bunt by Compton in the sixth inning that brought in McBrewer. Milano scored five runs during that inning, helping them win the game early due to the ten run rule.
THIS WEEK—The Lady Eagles are 5-8 in District 27-2A as of press time with multiple wins over Bartlett and Rosebud-Lott and a win over Holland in late February.
They wrapped up their season Tuesday after press time on the road in Bremond. Results will be in the next edition of The Reporter.
