The Lady Tigers continued to impress as Rockdale split two matches over the past week.
On Friday, the Lady Tigers defeated the Cameron Lady Yoe in four sets 25-22, 25-23, 17-25 and 25-20. The Lady Tigers fought hard and showed great teamwork to fend off a good Cameron team.
Haven Jimenez led the Lady Tigers with 22 kills and five aces. Yolianna Castillo led the team with 29 assist and 18 digs. Julie Bartsch led the team in blocks with two, while Averie Hobbs and Jessica Flores tied to lead the team in aces with two apiece.
On Tuesday, Lady Tigers fell to the Lexington Lady Eagles in three sets 17-25-12-25 and 18-25. The Lady Tigers fought hard but struggled to stop the Lady Eagles offense. Jimenez lead the Lady Tigers with nine kills and one ace. Castillo led the team in assist with 15, while Averie Hobbs led in the team in digs with eight.
The Lady Tigers are now 9-7 on the season. They will look bounce back against the Caldwell Lady Hornets on Friday in Caldwell.
