Lady Tiger sophomore Ivanna Luna placed second with a time of 12:15 at the Caldwell Invitational Saturday morning.
Luna was nine seconds behind Mara Johnston, the top-runner from Class 5A A&M Consolidated.
Other Lady Tigers were: 15. Cady Barcak, 13:50; 20. Jesenia Navarro, 14:00; 33. Alize Llanas, 16:32.
Isaac Fuentes was the top Tiger finishing in the top 10 in seventh with a time of 18:51.
Other Tigers running in Burleson County this past weekend were: 19. Christo Hernandez, 19:49; 20. Seth Davis, 19:58; 24. Christopher Perez, 20:22; 30. A.J. Hicks, 20:45; 31. Albert Silva, 20:57.
Both RHS cross country teams run in Cameron this Saturday for their final meet before the District 19-3A meet on Monday, Oct. 14, which will also be in Cameron.
JUNIOR VARSITY–Yovanney Delgadillo finished in fourth out of 49 boys in the JV race with a time of 19:41. Alec Silva placed 28th with a time of 22:33. Of the 49 runners in the race, only 13 of them were from Class 1A-4A schools.
