The RHS netters earned their first win in district play against the Florence Lady Buffaloes on Friday.
“I was very proud of the girls’ performance,” RHS Head Coach Kelsey Hudson said. “We had a lot of younger athletes step up and I saw great leadership from the older girls.”
The Lady Tigers dominated the game winning in straight sets 25-14, 25-20 and 25-20. Haven Jimenez led the Lady Tigers with 16 kills and 16 digs. Halle Jimenez led the team in aces with nine.
Coach Hudson said she is impressed with how they played and looks for the girls to continue to show improvement.
“We are looking to keep improving on our communication and aggressiveness,” Hudson said. “I have loved the fight and never-giveup attitude the girls have shown this whole season.”
The Lady Tigers are now 8-5 on the season and 1-2 in district play. They look to continue their winning ways against the Rogers Lady Eagles on Friday at Rogers.
