Junior hurler Brande Breithaupt bounced back from a minor injury only allowing four hits from the circle and striking out two.
“I’m proud of it,” head coach Meghann Infantino said. “We really needed that.”
“We had twenty-six quality at-bats, so we really cleaned it up in the box. Our defense was also there behind Brande when she needed them. I don’t think it could’ve gone any better for us.”
Infantino defines a quality at-bat as any at-bat where the batter is still at the plate three pitches after getting two strikes or six or more pitches in an at-bat. She said any plate appearance that ends with a hard hit ball, extra base hit, walk, sacrifice bunt or sacrifice fly. This is also the definition that Gamechanger, a mobile application that provides scorekeeping and stats for youth baseball and softball games, uses. THIS WEEK—RHS faced Academy Tues
