BHS went on to tie things up at 47, but Ciara Miles and Mijah Crawford came to the rescue making crucial shots to keep the home team ahead 51-49 with 2:13 left. Rockdale clinched their 54-50 victory with 0.8 seconds left in the game, when Alyssa Thompson hit one of two free throws.

Four days prior to their game with Burton, the Lady Tigers outscored neighbor Thorndale 19-7 in the second quarter, which helped them secure a win over the Lady Dogs, 42-37. Miles led the Blue-and-Gold with 23 points while Mijah Crawford and Trinity Hurd each had six.
