Over the weekend, the Lady Tiger volleyball team improved their record to 12-3 after winning six games at the Jewett-Leon Tournament.
On Thursday, the Blue-and-Gold went undefeated with wins over Buffalo, Groesbeck and Tom Bean. RHS also only lost one set the entire day.
More of the same occurred on Friday when the Lady Tigers won three more contests with victories over Palestine, Frost and Teague.
Although RHS went into day three of the Leon tourney as the third seed in the Gold Bracket, the girls fell short of a tournament title on Saturday. They lost to Normangee and Beckville.
THIS WEEK— The Lady Tigers faced Milam County neighbor Thorndale after press time on Tuesday evening and host their own tournament with games being played Thursday and Saturday.
Times for games weren’t made available by press time, but teams traveling to the tourney include Holland, Milano, Thorndale, Granger, Florence and Bartlett.
Results for the Lady Tigers, Lady Eagles and Lady Dogs at the Rockdale tourney will be in the next edition of The Rockdale Reporter.
