Rockdale slipped to 2-3 in district play on Friday after falling to Lorena, 12-25, 14-25, 13-25 late Friday afternoon at the RHS Gymnasium.
Three days earlier, the Blue-and-Gold took down McGregor on the road, 3-1.
The Lady Tigers faced Troy on Tuesday after press time and hit the road Friday to face Rogers. The other RHS is 1-4 through their first five games. Although the two teams have played each other before, score was not kept since they met up in two separate scrimmages i n A ugust. G ame time is 4:30 p.m.
MILANO— The Lady Eagles opened up district on their home floor, shutting out Snook 25-9, 25-19, 25-20 on Saturday afternoon.
MHS faced Somerville on Tuesday after press time and return to action the following Tuesday, Oct. 4, when they face Mumford.
The first serve is slated for 6 p.m., after the junior varsity contest.
THORNDALE— Like the Lady Eagles, the Lady Dogs also swept an opponent in their district opener, with a road win over Holland, 25-22, 25-14,25-10.
Kyndal Robinson led the team in kills with 15, while Hadley Meadors and Abby Dickerson each led Thorndale in assists with 13.
THS played a non-district contest against Manor’s New Tech High School on Tuesday evening and suit up for their second district contest on Saturday against Bartlett.
First set is scheduled for 2 p.m.
